So much has literally been going on in my life since my last post. I've been busy with TBI Raiders, Wellston Emergency Team, being back at the dance studio I grew up at, being elected to the governing board for the National Youth Leadership Network and am now chair of a committee, and working on TBI Raiders to become a non-profit organization.
The most exciting news is one of my friends, whom I grew up with at the dance studio, is now a middle school teacher. She is having her leadership class get involved in TBI Raiders and from what I hear, the kids are really excited about becoming involved. Then I will also be having a booth at the University of Central three days next week and part of the two days will be attending the spring conference for the Oklahoma Association of Higher Education And Disabilities. I've spoken with someone who works for one of those who represents me in Congress and with my state representative's secretary. I'm hoping by next Monday to have papers to have to lay out at the booth for people to read on what they have done to help the disability community. Then I will have information on the National Youth Leadership Network, along with information on TBI Raiders, and some other disability organizations.
